MiniMax posted a short video on October 19 hinting at a new model release. Its reference to Space Bunny points to a possible return for the AI model, which previously appeared under an anonymous name.
Space Bunny drew attention for its daily token usage on OpenRouter and OpenCode after appearing in late September, alongside DeepSeek V4.1 Flash and GLM 5.3 Flash. Token usage reflects adoption, rather than model quality.
What does the teaser suggest?
The teaser makes it very likely that Space Bunny is connected to MiniMax. It does not, on its own, confirm which model version the name refers to or when a formal release will follow.
