Checked on June 10, 2026: DeepSeek's official Claude Code page says the DeepSeek API natively supports Web Search in Claude Code, while the same vendor page still pins the main model to V4 Pro and subagents to V4 Flash.

What we verified on June 10, 2026

  • DeepSeek's official Claude Code integration page explicitly says the DeepSeek API natively supports the Web Search feature in Claude Code.
  • That same official page still keeps the main coding route on deepseek-v4-pro[1m] and the subagent route on deepseek-v4-flash.
  • DeepSeek's API quick-start still lists only V4 Flash and V4 Pro as the primary public model names, while marking deepseek-chat and deepseek-reasoner for deprecation on 2026-07-24 15:59 UTC.
  • DeepSeek's English homepage still points its public social anchor to @deepseek_ai, which helps confirm the official account even though the X page itself is not safely crawlable here.
