Meta launched Muse Wonder on October 12

Meta announced Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full on October 12, 2026, for personal and professional agent tasks. Muse Wonder is available through the Meta Model API and Muse Code. Muse Wonder Full is available to Muse Code subscribers; Meta says Muse Wonder will reach its consumer Muse experience later, starting with subscribers. These are different access routes, so the API comparison below uses Muse Wonder 1.0 rather than assigning Muse Wonder Full a token price.

What is Muse Wonder built to do?

Meta describes Active Memory as carrying relevant context across conversations and Active Focus as continuing work on difficult, multi-step tasks, trying alternatives and asking for clarification when needed. Its announcement highlights professional work, personal assistance and sustained coding. Those are Meta's descriptions and evaluations, not a head-to-head test against DeepSeek V4.1 Flash by DeepSeek V4 Hub.

Meta publishes a Standard Model API rate for muse-wonder-1.0. Its pricing page does not offer a Contributor-mode rate for Muse Wonder. Muse Wonder Full has no public per-token Model API rate on that page; a Muse Code subscription fee cannot be converted into an invented input or output token price.

How should you compare API costs with DeepSeek V4.1 Flash?

Compare the same workload's uncached input, cached input and generated output separately. Meta bills cached input at the lower rate only when a prompt prefix qualifies as a cache hit; its web-search tool can add a separate charge. DeepSeek bills cache hits and misses at different rates, and its deepseek-flash API model ID serves DeepSeek V4.1 Flash. Check actual cache usage, retries and tool use when measuring an application.

DeepSeek's peak windows are 01:00–04:00 and 06:00–10:00 UTC, Monday through Friday, excluding Chinese public holidays. All other hours, including weekends and Chinese public holidays, use the off-peak rates. The table shows off-peak first and peak second for DeepSeek.

For a token-only example, 1 million uncached input tokens plus 200,000 output tokens costs $8.00 at Muse Wonder's Standard rate ($4.00 + 0.2 × $20.00). The same token counts cost $0.27 off-peak or $0.54 peak at DeepSeek V4.1 Flash's listed rates. These are calculations from published prices, not measured costs of completing the same task or evidence that either model produces equally useful results.
